Arma: Cold War Assault Remastered 现已发布!



在玩家首次部署至 Everon 的25年后,Bohemia Interactive 自豪地宣布 Arma: Cold War Assault Remastered 正式发布。

这款开创了整个系列的游戏,如今基于现代化引擎根基回归。本重制版与玩家社区成员合作开发,保留了原版游戏玩法、任务、战役以及对社区内容的兼容性,同时将这一经典体验带入现代系统。

所有在 Steam 上拥有 Arma: Cold War Assault 的玩家,今日起即可畅玩重制版。

Arma: Cold War Assault Remastered 并非重制或重新设计之作。它是以保护原作为宗旨的重制版,基于经典 Poseidon 引擎的现代化版本构建而成。

原始岛屿、模型、纹理、音效、音乐、任务、战役及配音均得以完整保留。我们的目标是在保持原版真实体验的同时,改善游戏在现行硬件上的运行表现、显示效果、联机托管以及对社区内容的支持。

主要改进包括:

• Windows 和 Linux 原生 64位支持

• 全新 OpenGL 3.3 渲染器,经调校以保留原始氛围

• 现代化输入处理,支持当下外设及 Steam Deck

• 支持现代分辨率及超宽屏比例

• 恢复空间音频支持

• 提升现行系统上的稳定性和性能

• LAN 多人游戏、专用服务器支持及网络语音通话

• 对兼容任务提供实验性的“中途加入”支持

除重制版外,引擎源代码现已通过 BohemiaInteractive/cwr 在 GitHub 上公开。

此次源代码公开发布,为社区提供了一种新的途径,用以研究、保护、实验并更深入地理解原版 Arma 体验背后的技术。技术文档、许可信息及问题报告均可通过该代码仓库获取。

因此,无论你是时隔多年重游旧日 Everon,还是首次部署至此,亦或是探索原作背后的源代码,现在都是重温这款冷战沙盒经典的绝佳时机。

重要说明:

Arma: Cold War Assault Remastered 将与经典版并列安装,并不会替换后者。原 Steam 版本仍保持可用且不变,拥有独立的文件、配置文件、存档、设置及模组工作流。

经典版存档不兼容重制版,因为重制版使用独立的配置文件和存档数据。多人游戏部分也与经典版相互独立。重制版客户端无法连接至经典版服务器,经典版客户端同样无法连接至重制版服务器。

A 2001 classic, modernized, and now open source

Arma: Cold War Assault now runs on a modernized version of its original Poseidon engine: native 64-bit, Windows and Linux, support for ultrawide and high-refresh displays, full game-controller support, and a modern audio and networking stack, while it still plays exactly like the genre-defining original.

The engine is now open source

Bohemia Interactive has released the engine and game source code under the GNU GPL v3.0-or-later, in the spirit of id Software's classic source releases. Anyone can study it, build it, port it, and create with it. Game data and assets remain under Bohemia's Arma Public License Share Alike (APL-SA).

A free Demo is available on Steam if you want to try the engine before buying the full data and campaigns.

What's new in the Remastered engine

  • Windows & Linux, 64-bit: native cross-platform build (Steam Deck / SteamOS friendly)
  • Ultrawide & any resolution: aspect-correct field of view; borderless, windowed, or fullscreen; selectable refresh rate and V-Sync
  • Modern rendering: new OpenGL 3.3 renderer with crisp scalable (TrueType) fonts
  • Full controller support: gamepad with deadzone/response tuning, plus fully rebindable keyboard, mouse and controller bindings
  • Modern audio: OpenAL backend with integrated voice chat (VON)
  • In-game mod manager: enable, order and download community mods from within the game (Bohemia's own catalog), no command line needed
  • New multiplayer back end: modern master server and in-game server browser (replacing the retired GameSpy service)
  • Open toolchain for creators: bundled tools for PBO archives, models, terrain, textures, sound and config, plus a standalone scripting evaluator and a Blender import addon



The original game

Bohemia Interactive's debut game, published by Codemasters as Operation Flashpoint in 2001, became a genre-defining combat military simulation and the No. 1 bestselling PC game around the world, winning many international awards, including "Game of the Year" and "Best Action Game". Over 2 million copies have been sold since its release.

Storyline

The horrors of WWIII are imminent.

There are clashes over the Malden Islands from dusk to dawn, and you are caught in between. You must use every resource in your arsenal to hold back the incoming darkness. Victor Troska came back to Nogovo, thinking the pain of war was buried in his past.

But his dream lies broken now.

His worst nightmare returns when military forces land near Nogovo.

Open source & modding

The full engine and game source code is available under GNU GPL v3.0-or-later: fork it, build it, port it, or contribute back. Game assets remain under the Arma Public License Share Alike (APL-SA). Mods can be browsed and installed directly through the in-game mod manager, and a free Demo lets you try the remastered engine before buying.
